Citation Information
The Riverside County Code Enforcement Department issues administrative citations, parking citations and administrative civil penalty. Administrative citations are used in most instances for the majority of code violations and parking citations are used for parking related code violations. Administrative civil penalty may be imposed via the administrative process set forth in Section 16 of Riverside County Ordinance (RCO) No. 925, as provided in Government Code section 53069.4. Please see the appropriate section below for information on how to pay and/or appeal your specific type of citation or administrative civil penalty.

- Send in a check for the amount in the envelope attached to the back of the citation (Please put the citation # on check)

Administrative Civil Penalty
How do I pay for the administrative civil penalty?
- Send in a personal check, cashier's check or money order for the amount indicated on the administrative civil penalty (Please put the civil penalty # on check)
- Do Not send in cash

How many days do I have to pay the administrative civil penalty?
Payment must be made within 20 days. Failure to pay within the specified time frame may result in a notification to the State Franchise Tax Board, or the County pursuing any legal remedies to collect the civil penalties.
How do I appeal the administrative civil penalty?
Send in a written request to appeal the administrative civil penalty within 10 days from the issuance date. Include a check for the full penalty amount or a Request for Advance Hardship Waiver. Appeals received without the full deposit or a Request for Advance Hardship Waiver cannot be accepted.
